Reclaiming Carbon: A Catalyst for Systemic Change
Reclaiming Carbon: A Catalyst for Systemic Change
A silent, steady force, stitching together the very fabric of life with her capacity to form a multitude of compounds. The microscopic architect forms the backbone of all known life on Earth, from invisible microbes to towering redwoods, from the smallest plankton to blue whales… Yet, in our modern world, carbon's role has undeservedly transformed from being the essential building block of life to being maligned as the primary culprit in climate change.

understanding and handling of carbon. Our mission transcends conventional frameworks and approaches, to redefine our relationship with this elemental cornerstone of life. ClaimCarbon is an ambitious initiative that acknowledges the systemic issues underlying our climate crisis and seeks to transform our relationship with this foundational element. We seek to inspire a systemic shift in our understanding and handling of Carbon. Our vision is one of systemic transformation, where Carbon shifts from being a challenge to becoming a part of the solution. We are dedicated to inspiring and implementing strategies that 'make carbon great again', thus forging a future where human civilization can thrive within the system boundaries.
We recognize that to meet the targets set by the Paris Agreement and limit global warming to 1.5°C, we need a paradigm shift in how we approach Carbon. It's not about vilifying her but managing our interactions with her - prioritizing and expediting emission reductions while also enhancing and accelerating Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) strategies. This requires long-term planning and collaborative action. ClaimCarbon is pioneering models to accelerate CDR deployment, especially in regions where these efforts are still in their nascent stages.
It is all about transforming the way we interact with Carbon – creating an integrated, systemic approach that brings conservation, agriculture, and technology together to enhance Carbon removal and climate resilience. We aim to make Carbon removal an integral part of global conservation, renaturation and biodiversity initiatives, agricultural and livestock sectors, which present significant opportunities for carbon sequestration while also working with innovative startups and universities to deploy cutting-edge technologies for CDR. By leveraging the latest scientific research and innovative pilot applications we aim to augment the carbon removal capacity of these sectors. We use the power of tech to facilitate impactful radical collaborations among actors in the field, relevant sectors and regions across the world.
Beyond this, ClaimCarbon is focused on developing new financial models to support these initiatives. As with any systemic transformation, achieving our goals will require significant resources, and innovative financing models will be crucial to this endeavor. We're focused on developing financing models that will support project implementation and growth.
We also believe that radical collaboration is the key to significant progress. By fostering partnerships with cutting-edge startups and leading academic institutions, we aim to deploy novel technologies that enhance Carbon removal and climate resilience.
Carbon, in itself, is not the problem. Carbon is an essential part of the cycle of life, a cycle that we humans have disrupted with our activities. The challenge we face is not to remove Carbon from the equation but to restore the balance, to reclaim Carbon and restore it to its rightful place in the circle of life.
We evaluate the climate action plan of companies, identify CO2 offset and inset needs, beyond value chain opportunities, identify relevant themes and technologies, stakeholder and project areas, SDG and multi-benefit priorities of the companies.
We work with clients, collaborators and beneficiaries to develop the most impactful carbon removal strategy, develop SBTI compatible CO2 offset and inset projects with short, mid and long term planning and relevant BVCM projects.
